Detecting background and threats
In cities, ponding caused by severe rainstorm often leads to leakage risk, which seriously threatens the safety of pedestrians and the normal operation of surrounding facilities. Due to long-term exposure to wind and rain, the lighting equipment in the city may suffer from aging and damage to the wiring, improper installation or protection of monitoring equipment, poor waterproofing of sensor poles and various electrical and communication equipment, and may experience leakage faults when water accumulates. These potential leakage hazards not only endanger the safety of pedestrians, but may also lead to power system failures, affecting the normal operation of the city, such as traffic signal failures, communication interruptions, etc., bringing many inconveniences and safety risks.

Principle and equipment of water accumulation and leakage detection
1. Sensor characteristics and measurement
-Underground installation, does not affect the urban landscape and is sturdy and durable. The sensor adopts a stainless steel shell with IP68 protection capability, suitable for various complex environments.
-Sensor leakage sensing is sensitive and rapid, measuring water accumulation and leakage every minute. If no leakage is detected, safety data is uploaded every two hours; When leakage is detected, adjust to upload data every minute.
-There are two sets of measurable parameters: leakage potential difference and leakage frequency. DSP technology is used for time-domain analysis algorithm, which can measure DC component and AC component separately. With a resolution of 1mV level, it can accurately capture small changes in leakage signals.
-Important note: If the leakage drop point is located in the middle of the product, the equipment may not be able to sense it due to equipotential.
-The product can transmit measurement data through radio frequency technology, with a permeability of two meters. The buried part is made of stainless steel material to ensure durability and stability, while the panel part is insulated to ensure safe use. Adopting a 4-electrode scheme to improve measurement accuracy and reliability. Support battery replacement, facilitate continuous use of the device, built-in integrated dedicated antenna, enhance the stability and efficiency of signal transmission. The cycle of measuring once a minute can sustain continuous battery life for more than a year (this condition may vary depending on the soaking time, and in practical applications, the battery life capacity needs to be evaluated based on specific circumstances).
-Important reminder: This product is only effective when there is water accumulation on the device. If there is no water accumulation, it is impossible to detect electrical leakage in the air.
2. Signal transmission process
-The buried water accumulation leakage sensor outputs wireless RF signals, and the leakage data is obtained by the signal concentrator installed nearby.
-The signal concentrator adopts built-in battery self powered, stainless steel shell and IP68 protection level. It converts the received wireless RF signal into a wireless 4G signal and uploads it to the server using MQTT protocol based on the IP address and port number provided by the owner. The signal concentrator mainly plays the role of transferring signals, ensuring that data can be accurately and timely transmitted to the monitoring center, so that relevant personnel can understand the situation of water accumulation and leakage in real time and take timely measures.

The hazards of water accumulation and electric leakage on urban roads
1. Threats to pedestrian safety
-Pedestrians who step into the water leakage area may suffer from electric shock. A slight electric shock may lead to numbness, pain, panic and injury. Severe electric shock may cause cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest and other life threatening conditions. Poor sight in rainstorm weather increases the probability of accidents.
2. Impact on transportation
-Vehicle damage: Entering a water accumulation and leakage area while driving may cause damage to the electrical system, such as engine stalling, electronic device failure, and traffic congestion caused by vehicle stalling, resulting in economic losses to the owner.
-Traffic chaos: Water accumulation and electric leakage can cause traffic accidents, such as vehicle collisions, rear end collisions, etc. The sudden turning or braking of vehicles to avoid the electric leakage area exacerbates traffic chaos.
3. Destruction of urban infrastructure
-Damage to power facilities: Leakage of electricity causes damage to the urban power supply system, leading to local power outages and affecting residents' lives, enterprise production, and the normal operation of important facilities such as hospitals and communication base stations.
-Communication interruption: If it affects communication lines or equipment, causing communication interruption, it will affect urban information transmission and emergency rescue work.
-Other infrastructure damage: Water accumulation and leakage may also damage urban drainage systems, road facilities, etc., increasing infrastructure maintenance costs.
4. Impact on social order
-The water accumulation and leakage incidents have caused public panic and anxiety, affecting social order and stability. Relevant departments need to invest a large amount of manpower and material resources in emergency response and rescue, which has brought enormous pressure to urban management.

Comprehensive response measures
1. Equipment maintenance
-Regularly inspect and maintain various devices in the city that may leak electricity to ensure their safety in adverse weather conditions. Establish a comprehensive equipment inspection system, develop detailed inspection checklists and standards, including equipment appearance inspection, line connection inspection, waterproof performance inspection, etc. Timely replacement or maintenance of aging or damaged equipment to improve its reliability and stability. At the same time, strengthen the training of equipment maintenance personnel to improve their professional skills and emergency response capabilities.
2. Safety education
-Strengthen safety education for citizens, enhance their self-protection awareness in flooded environments, and jointly safeguard the electrical safety of cities in flooded conditions. Through various channels such as media promotion, community lectures, school education, etc., educate citizens about the hazards and prevention knowledge of water accumulation and electric leakage. Notify citizens to avoid approaching facilities that may cause electrical leakage, such as streetlights, utility poles, and distribution boxes, when encountering water accumulation. Do not walk or play in water accumulation. At the same time, clear warning signs should be set up to remind citizens to pay attention to safety. Encourage citizens to promptly report potential electrical hazards to relevant departments and work together to maintain a safe environment in the city.
